*ITEM: HAMILTON 6 x 30 Porro Binoculars Knockoff Of German Dienstglas 1962 Model
*MANUFACTURER: Hamilton
*YEAR: 1962 era knockoff of the german brand "Dienstglas"
*MEASURES: Approx. 6 1/2" X 4 3/4"
*OPTICS: 6 x 30 Porro. "No Center Eyepiece Adjuster Manufactured Into These Binoculars". The vision adjustment is done through adjusting both eyepieces at the same time. The vision adjusts fine for a low power binoculars. The vision is clear with no blur depending on if you can syn the two eyepieces to adjust out properly at the same time. I did it and it's not to tough. I was surprised that the vision was just about crystal clear.
*CONDITION: These binoculars were used a lot to show much wear. Not the greatest binoculars made. Lots of worn off paint patches. Lenses look OK physically.
*HISTORY: Back in the 1950's and 1960's there were many U.S. manufacturers producing knockoffs of U.S. and foreign brand name produces. Nowadays in present 2018 it's foreign manufacturers producing knockoffs of U.S. brand name products. What really gives these binoculars away as a knockoff is they are an exact copy of the "German Made Dienstglas" with "A.M.C. Japan" stamped into the swing post end.
*FEATURES: Antique bad knockoff product that was dumped onto the U.S. market. Binoculars were used and abused by whomever owned them. I guess at one time the lenses would focus properly for a "No Eyepiece Adjustment" set..
*Buyer is responsible for knowing about these binoculars and identifying them before the purchase.
*Larger pictures and a picture of the bottom will be sent upon request.
*Buyer is responsible for making any repairs needed. A large patch of the leather skin is missing from regular use during their day.
